I’m so glad you are here!
My work centers around adults of all ages and children as young as five years old looking to heal from depression, anxiety, and other mood changes that can happen throughout life. I have over ten years of experience providing evidence-based, individualized services to children, adolescents, and adults. My passion has always been helping others; the longer I am in the field, the more this passion flourishes. I enjoy seeing my clients’ transformation and healing!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), which means I help you find ways out of suffering or confusion and into wellness. I specialize in integrative psychotherapy, drawing on scientifically proven methods from psychology, neuroscience, and integrative medicine to foster physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. In our sessions, I use empathy, compassion, and insight in addition to my education and training to guide your healing.
My style of working with people is very down-to-earth, holistic, and gentle. I have a very warm and uplifting spirit that I use to encourage you through your life journey. I create an environment where you are free to find the truth that is within you. We’ll begin where you are and feel most comfortable.
I’ll guide you toward self-actualization by making step-by-step changes to your beliefs, thoughts, and self-care behaviors at a comfortable and sustainable pace.
Ashley Birkholz, MSW, LCSW, CSAC
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor with 12 years of post-graduate experience working with a variety of clients. I feel I am compassionate and relatable to my clients. I approach treatment from a biopsychosocial perspective and look at the individual.
I believe that each client is an individual and should be treated as such. I also take pride in providing education to my clients to give them options to make an educated decision about their unique situation.
I am trained to utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to treat trauma, as well as clients that are feeling “stuck.” EMDR is a highly effective therapy for trauma and mental health treatment.
I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, an AODA certification from Moraine Park Technical College, and a master’s degree in social work, also from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I spent three years working with clients in a healthcare setting and worked at Ozaukee County Human Services as a Crisis Case Manager, as well as individual therapy in the private sector prior to joining Schneider Counseling.
I have a strong interest in the First Responder/Veteran population. I also specialize in treating grief, stress, trauma, life transitions, anxiety and depression.
I specialize in treating clients age 21 and up.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor – In Training looking to help children, adolescents, and adults work toward finding more balance in their lives. My work focuses on the healing journey and creating a space to connect with one another in an authentic way. I believe in us working side by side to create a care plan that is tailored to your needs and goals.
Beginning to look for care is an incredibly brave first step. While finding care can be both difficult and overwhelming, I am here to help ease some of that difficulty. My goal is to create a space that encourages you to share your feelings and experiences in a safe and authentic way. Together, we will navigate your healing journey building a genuine connection as we work side by side to create a care plan that is personalized to your needs and goals.
I value bringing a non-judgemental and empathetic attitude into the counseling space. I hold an open mind and am flexible to feedback as I strive for us to work together to create treatment that is a good fit for you.The theories I most often draw from are cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered theory, dialectical behavior therapy, and interpersonal process theory, all from a trauma informed care viewpoint. For my practice, it is valuable to pull from various theories, based on what it is that you are experiencing.
I want you to know that your feelings and experiences are valid. I’m truly grateful that you’re here, choosing to seek guidance during this time of growth, and I would be honored to support you through it.
My goal is for you to feel safe on your healing journey and feel empowered to grow while creating and sustaining balance..
Danielle Mae Dillenburg, MS, LPC-IT
I hope you are so proud of yourself! Life can be overwhelming, asking for help isn’t easy, and starting the therapy process can feel daunting, and yet here you are doing it. I hope to welcome you to a safe space where you can come as you are, unload everything without shame, and begin the healing process that you so rightfully deserve.
You are not defined by your diagnoses, struggles, or past; there is so much more that makes you, you. That’s why I’m passionate about whole-person care. I’m working with all of you not just pieces and I value getting to know your true self. My approach to therapy is nonjudgmental, empathic, authentic, and collaborative. I want you to feel comfortable showing up as your true self just as I will.
When working together I want you to know, we are a team, you are the expert of your life and I highly value your feedback. My entire goal is to help you reach yours, so as a team we will decide how our sessions run and I will personalize treatment based on your goals and feedback. Our sessions will always be guided through a cultural and trauma-informed lens and I can pull from a variety of theories and techniques such as person-centered, strength-based approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.
I’m so very happy you’re here and I’m excited to join you in your journey and empowering you along the way.
Lauren Miller, Counseling Intern
Everyone is capable of change, and finding the right support is a crucial first step. I am here to support you in your personal growth and to create a safe space where you feel comfortable enough to express yourself. Balancing warmth (and a fair amount of humor), I hope that in each session you will feel comfortable, empowered, and authentic. On this journey of growth, we will collaboratively work together to help achieve your goals and to solve any problems that are brought into session.
My style of counseling is strength-based, relationship-focused, nonjudgmental, and genuine. Following the idea that you know yourself best and everyone is capable of personal growth; I use a Person-centered approach centered on respect and full of empathy to facilitate the therapeutic relationship. I also utilize Cognitive-behavioral approaches to help you identify the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and actions while also helping you develop new skills to deal with life challenges. The combination of these theoretical approaches allows you to maximize your self-worth and give you tools to increase confidence and self-esteem. Along the way we can also utilize outside approaches based on your personality and preferences; making each session truly yours!
I am in my final year of the Master’s in Counseling program at Mount Mary University, and I’m excited to go on this journey with you.
